of management :Management as an art
Management,
art, personal skill, personal judgement, practical knowledge , constructive
result.
Management
is more application oriented and skill is predominant in nature and hence
management is considered as an art.
To
generate an idea about to analyse the concepts “management as an art”, to
analyse and organise various features of management as an art and draws
interferences about nature of management in terms of the dynamic process it
involves, through brainstorming, general discussion and group discussion.
Students
should have an idea about the term ‘management’ as a process of organisation
and it is essential for the accomplishment of organisational goals.

1 : Introductory Phase
Activity 1 (Brainstorming and general
discussion)
After the
routine class room practices, teacher started the class by exhibit pictures
of singers, dancers, actors, famous paintings etc.
Then a discussion led by the teacher based
on the following key points.

Baesd
on the above led points learner reached a consensus that management can be
considered us an art because it possess features of an art.
